The Dassault Falcon 2000LX is an upgraded version of the 2000EX and part of the successful Falcon 2000 family. New winglets and internal features brought new levels of performance and sophistication to the popular private jet series.

• The Falcon 2000LX is an upgrade of the 2000EX EASy, featuring new winglets and modern internal features. 
• The aircraft can fly non-stop for approximately 4,600 miles, completing routes like Paris to New York and London to Dubai.
• Most Falcon 2000LXs are configured for up to 12 passengers, especially for charter purposes.
• The baggage hold has space for 12 suitcases, meaning each passenger can take at least one item of luggage. There’s also ample storage for hand luggage on board.
• The model launched in 2007 and production ceased in 2014, as Dassault’s attention turned to the 2000LXS.

While released by Dassault as a super-midsize jet, the 2000LX is more aligned with aircraft in the heavy jet class in terms of performance and charter price. The Falcon 2000LX proved yet another success for the ever-improving 2000 series, retaining popular qualities while improving on design and performance.

Interior design

The 2000LX has a spacious, quiet cabin that’s easy to move around during a flight. Typically passengers are seated between two cabin zones, with four large seats at the front and a three-seat divan at the back alongside a four-seat dining area that converts into a double bed for night flights. At the rear is an enclosed lavatory and a sizable galley.

Technological features

Like the 2000EX and EX EASy, the Falcon 2000LX is powered by two Pratt & Whitney turbofan engines. Its revolutionary winglets increase the plane’s range compared to the original 2000, allowing it to climb faster than much of the competition. 

The cockpit has a Rockwell Collins ProLine 4 fully integrated avionics suite with a Honeywell EASy avionics panel, Allied Signal GNS-XES flight management system, Collins TWR-850 Doppler weather radar and dual channel integrated avionics processor system.

History

Entering service in 1995, the Falcon 2000 was Dassault’s first private jet to be entirely designed using digital technology, resulting in improved aerodynamics and simplified systems. Production ceased in 2006 as Dassault concentrated on developing variants and upgrades.

The 2000EX launched in 2003 with improved range and updated avionics, before being renamed the 2000EX EASy following the addition of a Honeywell Primus Epic EASy integrated modular avionics suite and cockpit display system.

The 2000DX and 2000LX variants followed in 2007, with the latter boasting new winglets. Production of the 2000LX ended in 2014 as the company began delivering the upgraded 2000LXS.
