The Embraer ERJ-145 – a snapshot
“The maximum configuration on the ERJ-145 is 50 seats. When configured to 30 seats, as we can see with this aircraft, passengers enjoy the luxury of extended legroom to comfortably spread out onboard.
“The aircraft can fly non-stop for about three-and-a-half hours – perfect for those traveling relatively short distances across the US. Fuel stops are required for longer-haul flights, but refueling at an airport in North America usually takes less than 30 minutes.
“Another massive draw for many of our clients is how cost-effective this aircraft can be to charter and the space the cabin provides each passenger. The generously sized interior and expansive legroom are matched by a sizable luggage hold, with space for each passenger to bring a 45lbs bag. These attributes make the ERJ-145 an incredibly popular option with our collegiate sports clients, who travel with lots of equipment. It’s also ideal for musicians traveling to their next gig, private parties flying to destination weddings and businesses rewarding their teams with an incentive trip.”
The interior
“The ERJ-145’s spacious interior features 30 seats in a 1-1 configuration. On one side of the aisle, there are large side tables next to the seats where food and drink can be served.
“The seats are extremely comfortable, with plenty of legroom for every passenger. There’s ample space for hand luggage in the overhead compartments, as well as seating for crew members delivering a first-class onboard service.
“While this aircraft’s interior and baggage capacity make it a go-to choice for sports teams and corporate trips, we also often recommend it to individuals traveling with large groups over relatively short distances.
“Heavy jets like the Gulfstream G650 or Bombardier Global 7500 have incredibly luxurious interiors, but typically accommodate up to 16 passengers, and it can be hard to fully appreciate the cabin if every seat and divan is occupied. As well as more space, the ERJ-145 usually represents a more cost-effective charter option for short-haul flights than a long-range modern private jet.”
