Arranging flights for a college donor and their women’s basketball team
Our commercial jet and private jet teams teamed up on a bespoke air charter solution for one of our regular customers, an entrepreneur and philanthropist in Arizona. Our client was visiting a university he donates to in Kansas, then accompanying their women's basketball team to an exhibition game in Connecticut and back before returning home.
Our Solution
Route: Scottsdale > Hays > Windsor Locks > Hays > Scottsdale
Aircraft: Saab 2000s
The game was taking place in a small town with limited commercial flights, so an aircraft charter was the quickest and most convenient way to get the players, alumni and university staff there from Kansas. Transporting the 50 passengers together on one flight would require a larger aircraft with a stop to refuel en route, so instead we decided to split the group between two smaller turboprops that could complete the journey non-stop.
Our client also requested a private jet charter to fly him from Scottsdale to Kansas to connect with the group flight. We provided quotes for several aircraft, recommending a very light jet as the most cost-effective non-stop solution. Everything ran smoothly on the day, with all of the charter flights departing and arriving on time.
