The Caddo Mills Municipal Airport is located off of Highway 1565 in Caddo Mills, Texas. Caddo Mills was initially inhabited by the Caddo Indians who camped at the base of the Caddo Creek. By the 1880s the town has grown to over 100 residents with a dozen small businesses and three churches. By the early 1940s Caddo Mills had incorporated; the population was approx. 390 residents and the number of businesses had grown to twenty.
