Aurora State Airport can be found just one mile from the Aurora CBD, in Marion County, Oregon. It is owned by the Oregon Aviation Authority. Used first and foremost as a general aviation airport, Aurora has a significant amount of business aviation based at the field. The airport is also home to two major aviation companies; Van's Aircraft and Columbia helicopters. The airport was first built in 1943 by the United States Air Forces and was known as Aurora Flight Strip.
