Following months of careful curation, leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has once again teamed up with time design expert, James Wallman, to launch the fifth in their ‘Time Well Spent’ series. The latest itinerary utilises private aviation to create a unique 13-day itinerary with 10 incredible experiences, which includes seeing Komodo dragons in the wild, as well as spectacular hiking and scuba-diving adventures, via private aircraft travelling the length and breadth of Indonesia. An experience that would normally take up to four weeks using scheduled airlines, is cut to less than two weeks utilising private aviation.

The ‘Exploring Untouched Indonesia’ itinerary offers an exceptional luxury travel experience, covering more than 2,000 miles, taking in Jakarta, Komodo, Kelimutu, East Timor, Atauro Island and Bali. The 13-day trip is simply not feasible within the two week timeframe without the use of private aviation. One of the legs would take a minimum of 17 hours on scheduled service, with two connecting flights – and another hop is not possible at all by scheduled aircraft. If you were to arrange the parts of it that are available via scheduled service, it would likely take you an extra one or two weeks, with huge amounts of time lost with infrequent, non-direct flights meaning that whole days are lost, missing the chance to make the most of the experience planned for that day.

Andy Christie, Group Private Jets Director at ACS, said: “The itinerary takes in 10 experiences, but the highlights include seeing Komodo dragons in their natural habitat, mud-wrestling in Bali, hiking to a volcanic peak for sunset and scuba diving in unspoilt waters, with the opportunity to see sharks, dolphins, turtles and dugongs in the wild. It truly is a spectacular 13-day adventure!

“We put these stunning itineraries together to inspire our clients, and each one perfectly illustrates how private aviation can be used to create other incredible trips like this one. Our clients are often time-poor, so these itineraries allow them to take in all that is on offer, within a significantly shorter time period, than would usually be possible via commercial airlines. If you were to arrange this trip on scheduled flights you would spend endless hours at airports, with many of the destinations on this schedule requiring multiple or connecting flights and long layovers to get from one to the other. This is coupled with often missing the peak times to experience some of the highlights on the trip, due to the limitations of scheduled flights. The flight times by private jet or helicopter are minimal and set to your schedule, meaning that the travelling doesn’t detract from each unique experience.

James Wallman, co-creator of the itinerary, and best-selling author of ‘Time And How To Spend It’, commented: “It is great to team up with Air Charter Service once again to come up with another ultra-luxury itinerary. This new one focuses on the best and most efficient way to see a huge variety of sea life, stunning mountain and volcanic peaks, as well as witness local customs and rituals.”

Prices start at £49,000 per person, which includes the jet and helicopter flights, as well as all hotels and experiences. For the full 13-day itinerary, please visit: https://www.aircharterservice.com/about-us/news-features/blog/time-well-spent-exploring-untouched-indonesia.

Wallman concluded: “The itinerary series is based on the STORIES framework from my book, so that travellers who select these itineraries will not only take a break from their norm, but will embark on a life-affirming journey that provides them with show-stopping memories and stories. The ‘STORIES’ checklist stands for Story, Transformation, Outside & Offline, Relationships, Intensity, Extraordinary, and Status & Significance – a trip based on this checklist ensures you are adding to your personal development and avoiding ‘empty’ experiences.”

This new ‘Exploring Untouched Indonesia’ itinerary follows on from the ‘Wild Wonders of Africa’, ‘In the footsteps of James Cook’, ‘Across The Top Of The World’ and ‘Journey To The End Of The World’ itineraries, released over the past three years.
