Medicine for COVID-19 Patients, South America
A freight forwarder asked Air Charter Service to fly 170 tonnes of medicine for Covid-19 patients from India to South America during the global pandemic. Due to limited freighter availability, such a large cargo needed to be spread across several aircraft and the client wanted it moved quickly at minimal cost. With freighter prices steadily increasing, we had to come up with an alternative solution that allowed us to move the medicine fast without blowing the budget.
OUR SOLUTION
Route: India to South America
Aircraft: Boeing B777-300
With freighter prices steadily increasing beyond client’s budget, we asked the client to repack the cargo so that it could fit on several passenger aircraft, which had large capacities and were available to charter at more competitive rates. We then sourced a number of Boeing B777-300s and were able to transport the entire consignment to South America within three days.
