Baseball team, Ohio to Arizona
Air Charter Service was asked by a university in Ohio to fly their 30-strong baseball team to a tournament in Phoenix, Arizona by the following morning, after their scheduled flight was cancelled at short notice.
OUR SOLUTION
Route: Cincinatti, Ohio > Phoenix, Arizona
Aircraft: Embraer EMB120
We sourced several options for the charter, including a Boeing 737-400 that could fly direct; an Embraer EMB135 that could leave at the client’s requested departure time but needed to make a fuel stop along the way; and an Embraer EMB120 turboprop that was very competitively priced but needed to make two fuel-stops, couldn’t depart on schedule and only had space for 24 passengers. In the end, the client compromised on their requirements and opted for the Embraer EMB120 as it was the most cost-effective solution.
THE FINER DETAILS
Going the Extra Mile: Despite the tight turnaround, we managed to arrange for individual care packages to be given to the players on arrival at the FBO. These contained items such as a sports drink, fruit and protein bars, along with a good luck message from ACS.
