Aman Le Mélézin
Set right on Courchevel’s Bellecôte piste in the heart of Les Trois Vallées, Aman Le Mélézin puts a contemporary spin on the classic alpine lodge. This ski-in/ski-out sanctuary is steeped in understated Asian elegance, from cosy rooms with private hot tubs to Japanese fine dining and a sleek holistic spa.

DINING
Bringing Aman’s Eastern roots to Courchevel, the hotel’s flagship restaurant, Nama, serves elevated Japanese gastronomy such as sashimi, sushi and Wagyu beef. After dinner, stroll over to the bar, library or salon to enjoy a nightcap overlooking the slopes and village. Order the signature cocktail, a violet-scented concoction prepared with local blueberries and champagne, or sample the area’s largest sake and Japanese whiskey collection.
Book the ultimate aprés-ski dining experience at Les Prés de la Croix. Take your seat by the roaring log fire in this cosy mountain chalet and tuck onto a Savoyard dinner of cheese fondue or hot-pot – or, for a special celebration, ask the private chef to create a bespoke five-course menu just for you. The magical evening ends with a toboggan or snow bike ride through the snow before being driven back to the hotel.

ACTIVITIES
Adventures and excursions
Aman Le Mélézin has direct access to 600 kilometres of slopes, with gondolas whisking you up to a spine-tingling 2,740 metres for views over the snow-dusted larch trees (mélezés) that give the hotel its name. The world-class ski facilities here, open to all ages and abilities, include ski butlers, personalised lessons and an experienced children’s guide.
Continue the adventure with tobogganing, ice-skating and dog-sledding, all just a stone’s throw from Courchevel’s upmarket shops, bars and restaurants. The concierge is on-hand to arrange excursions ranging from hot air ballooning to cocktail-making lessons, and there’s a dedicated kids’ club to keep little ones entertained.

The Spa at Aman Le Mélézin
Spread over two floors, the serene Japanese-inspired spa promises to soothe ski-weary muscles with a range of therapeutic treatments. In addition to a 14-metre lap pool bordered by two jacuzzis, there’s a rejuvenating hydrotherapy area with a hammam, sauna and cold plunge pool. Warm up before hitting the slopes with a complimentary yoga session, returning later for a relaxing Signature Treatment, which includes circulation-boosting dry body brushing followed by a hot stone massage and a moisturising facial.
