A flexible charter for a financier’s ski trip
The personal assistant of a financial company’s director asked us to help arrange air travel from the UK to Switzerland for his annual ski trip with friends. With the group unable to confirm how much luggage they’d be bringing, we needed an aircraft that had space in the hold for their skis and bags, plus extra capacity for any additional items.
Our Solution
Route: Luton > Sion
Aircraft: Embraer Lineage 1000
Our team sourced a charter aircraft from an operator with a fleet of business jets, giving the client peace of mind that a replacement could be quickly arranged if any issues arose.
The Embraer Lineage 1000 was the most spacious option available for the group of 15, and its large hold offered the required flexibility for luggage capacity.
Passengers were from a range of countries, including the USA, Switzerland, Denmark and Kuwait, so we assisted the client with arranging the necessary visas for the charter.
The Finer Details
Aircraft Access: The client has fractional private jet ownership with another company, but they couldn’t secure availability on a suitable aircraft for this trip. As a world-leading broker, we have access to thousands of charter aircraft around the world and were quickly able to find an ideal solution.
Flight Representation: Two of our team were on-hand at the airport to ensure passengers checked in and boarded smoothly. They also left hard copies of the group’s visas at the terminal for the return flight.
Bespoke Solutions: Passengers arrived for the flight with several magnums of Champagne and food crates, which fitted comfortably in the hold thanks to our forward planning with the extra luggage allowance.
Quick Thinking: When bad weather in Sion threatened to divert the flight, our reps liaised with the crew to avoid re-routing by flying slower to allow time for conditions to improve.
